In Sports Heads Cards: Soccer Squad Swap, your goal is to create a squad of the strongest 11 players possible. Through a series of turns, you’ll play cards and compete with your opponent’s cards. Winning turns allows you to add those players to your squad deck, so choose wisely!

How to Play Sports Heads Cards: Soccer Squad Swap

Game Mechanics:

• Dealing and Playing Cards
  Each player is dealt five cards at a time. The first player plays a card, and the opponent responds with another card. The card with the higher score wins, and the player who wins the turn adds both cards to their squad deck.

• Doubling Up
  If you have another card of the same nationality as the one you played, you can "double up" to overpower an opponent’s card—even if each card individually has a lower score. This strategy can turn the tide of the game, but you can only play a double after your opponent has shown their card.

• Penalty Shoot-Outs
  A penalty shoot-out is triggered in two ways:

  • Playing a card with the same value as your opponent’s card.
  • Playing a card of the same nationality as your opponent’s card.

  In this penalty round, each player receives three random cards, and the player with the highest cumulative score wins all eight cards.

End Game

Each match lasts 18 turns, simulating a 90-minute game clock. After all turns are played, the unused cards are discarded. The game then tallies each player’s best 11 cards from their squad, and the team with the highest cumulative score wins. In case of a tie, the highest individual card determines the winner.
